This was a project... Words can't even describe how hard this was.
So I had the wonderfully awful idea of making a breed that had traits from every breed. At first, I was including the Petz 5 breeds, but yikes that wasn't going to work. So I limited it to Petz 4. I used a list randomizer to decide what traits went where, but I did modify it a bit to make it better. For example, the Chihuahua is the only dog with visible whiskers so it just made sense to have that be the whiskers. At first, I was going to ignore personality and try to represent two breeds through markings, but the markings thing just refused to work, so I replaced one set of markings with personality, though I'm not convinced that took properly.
So basically this is what I aimed for--
Head: Labrador
Ears: Poodle
Body: Scottie
Legs: Bulldog
Feet: Dalmatian
Tail: Dachshund
Coat: Sheepdog
Whiskers: Chihuahua
Personality: Great Dane
Markings: Mutt
And I did it. It took so long, so many breedings, and took such a toll on my mental stability... A big thing about how I form selective breeds is letting them decide themselves with little direction from me, but due to the nature of this, I had to be strict. The Bulldog legs especially did NOT want to cooperate and I nearly quit there and then. But, I'm lucky enough to have a mom who was very supportive of this project and gave me a lot of moral support over the phone. Also, I think she was good luck because literally every time I would call her, I'd make good progress minutes later so... Even though i didn't show her pictures of what it looked like as I worked on it, she wanted some for herself and she earned them lol.
By some miracle, they ended up being Black and White, which is my mom's favorite color combo, so I definitely think she worked some sort of magic to help me get these finished lol.
They're not... great looking. As puppies, they have HUGE heads. But they don't look nearly as bad as I expected. And with the neat markings and good colors, they're actually pretty cute, I think. My mom loves them lol.
Anyways, I'm maybe gonna never make another selective breed as long as I live because this killed my hands. SO MUCH BREEDING. Even with keyboard shortcuts, my hands hurt so badly lol. But I did it. One breed with all ten (kinda) breeds. The only questionable one is Great Dane. GenePoolz says it has a great dane personality, but LNZ says bulldog and I think they act like bulldogs so...
But you know what? GOOD ENOUGH. I'm done looking at this breed lol. This drained me. I'm so tired rofl.
